Window Tint Film

Q: My Insta-Cling Film will not stick to the window. What should I do?

A: Try washing your window very thoroughly. Also, be sure the tint film is clean and you are using plenty of water when applying.

Q: My Professional Adhesive Tint Film will not stick to the window. What should I do?

A: There is a clear liner on one side of the film. It must be removed before the tint film will bond to the window.

Q: What percentage of UV rays are blocked by your tint film?

A: All of our tint films block over 90% of UV rays from your car interior.

Q: Why can't I apply window film to my double-paned windows?

A: The tint can cause excessive heat build-up in the area between the panes. This has been known to cause the glass to crack or even shatter.

Q: Why can't I apply window film to my sky lights?

A: Most skylights contain plastic or are double paned. The adhesive in the film can leave an imprint on the skylights that contain plastic. Double-paned glass may experience the problems described in the previous question.

Q:  Why can’t I apply window film to plastic or Plexiglas?

A:  The adhesive in window film can leave an imprint on plastic or Plexiglas surfaces and affect the clarity of these surfaces.

Q: How do I prevent bubbles when applying window film?

A: Try using water and a squeegee to push out the air bubbles between the glass and the film. Make sure your window is cleaned with a straight edge as described in the directions. Use plenty of water or solution. Typically, the cleaner the window, the fewer the bubbles.

Q: Do you have larger sizes of film that I can use in my home?

A: Our Insta-Cling film is available in three sizes, 18 inches x 64 inches (Standard), 26 inches x 78 inches (Jumbo) and 48 inches by 78 inches (Super Jumbo).  The Super Jumbo size is large enough to fit standard patio doors.

Q: Will I be able to roll down the window once I have applied the static-cling film?

A: Generally, yes. There should be no problem if the film has been installed correctly, unless the weather striping on your vehicle is extremely tight.
